Day 66 – Syria

It’s day 66 of Michael’s ‘79 Days’ challenge, and today represents Syria, a country where it is illegal to be homosexual. The punishment for same-sex sexual activity in Syria ranges from 3 years imprisonment up to execution in ISIL controlled territories. People who identify as LGBTQ additionally face violence through being blackmailed and tortured, which often leads to death.
