It’s day 40 of Michael’s 79 days challenge and today represents Mauritania, a country where homosexuality is considered to be illegal. According to Article 306 of the 1983 Criminal Code, any adult Muslim man who commits same-sex sexual activity will face the penalty of death by stoning. Female homosexuality, unlike male homosexuality, is punishable by fines or imprisonment.
