Today marks the lack of LGBTQ rights in Kuwait. According to article 193 of the Penal Code, people who commit same-sex sexual activity can face up to 6 years in prison. Article 198 also states that “imitating the appearance of a member of the opposite sex” results in a punishment of fines and/or imprisonment.
