On Saturday 31st August, young people from the Isle of Wight, Southampton, Basingstoke and Andover travelled to meet up at Reading Pride. Despite an initial hiccup of a missed train, the groups all managed to find each other and arrive to take their place in the parade just as it set off! The sun was shining and the young people were in high spirits as they got to meet up with friends made at other events over the summer, and make new acquaintances from other groups. Despite the afternoon turning, weather-wise, the rain didn’t dampen the mood and after a few hours exploring the great array of stands and entertainment, everyone set off back home, planning how they would next meet up with their Breakout Youth friends from across the region.
