Day 2 – Algeria

Posted in: General News

It’s day 2 of Michael’s abstinence challenge, and today represents the LGBTQ rights in Algeria. Since June 1966, any person who is guilty of a homosexual act is to be punished with imprisonment from between 2 months and 2 years. The social attitudes towards people who identify as LGBTQ are openly negative and often violent.

If you would like to sponsor Michael to support young LGBTQ people in Southampton and Hampshire, please click here.
