Day 53 – Saudi Arabia

Today is day 53 of Michael’s 79 days of abstinence from meat, fish and sugary treats. Day 53 marks the lack of LGBTQ rights in Saudi Arabia, where homosexuality and transgenderism are illegal. Anyone who is found to be guilty of homosexuality or cross-dressing on their first offense can face penalties of imprisonment, fines, whipping and torture. People who are convicted twice of either homosexuality or cross-dressing face execution.
