Today is day 34 of Breakout Youth Development Worker Michael’s 79 days of abstinence from meat, fish and sugary treats to raise awareness of the lack of LGBTQ rights in 79 countries around the world.

Day 34 represents Liberia, where both male and female homosexuality is illegal, with a punishment of up to a year imprisonment. In 2012, an additional legislation was introduced to prohibit and criminalize same-sex marriages in Liberia.
