Day 22 – Grenada

It’s day 22 of Michael’s ‘79 Days’ challenge which marks the lack of LGBTQ rights in Grenada. According to section 431 of the Grenada Criminal Code, homosexuality is illegal in Grenada, with up to 10 years of imprisonment as a penalty. LGBTQ rights for women are, however, different to men, with female homosexuality being classified as legal.

Michael, the Breakout Youth Development Worker, is raising awareness of the lack of LGBTQ rights in 79 countries around the world by abstaining from meat, fish and sugary treats for 79 days. If you would like to find out more, click here.
